Ingredients:

  • Fruit Filling
  • 3/4 cup Pitted Prunes
  • 1/3 cup Seedless raisins
  • 1/4 cup Oregon Chai The Original™ Chai Tea Latte Concentrate
  • 1/4 cup Shelled walnuts
  • 1/4 Apple with peel
  • 2 tbsp. Sugar
  • Juice and rind of 1/4 lemon
  • Dough
  • 2/3 cup Butter
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 1 Large egg
  • 1/2 tsp. Vanilla
  • 2 1/2 - 3 cups Unbleached all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. Baking powder
  • 1 dash Salt

Directions:

Fruit-filled Hamantaschen, the traditional Jewish treat, with Oregon Chai Original Chai concentrate - the tea for life. Make dough: cream butter with sugar. Add egg and vanilla and continue creaming until smooth. Add flour, baking powder and salt. Blend until well mixed and forms a ball. Refrigerate dough 2 to 3 hours, or overnight. Make filling: simmer prunes, raisins and Original Chai concentrate in a covered pan for 15 minutes. Add nuts and apple. Plac
