About Us

Our particular purple is actually very green.

Around here, priority number one is providing you with inspiration. And we take that goal all the way to the way we treat our environment. Sustainable agriculture, environmental awareness and all-natural products are key parts of who we are.

We like our carbon footprints small.

Because you mix all Oregon Chai products to your taste at home with milk or water, we use energy more efficiently. In fact, Oregon Chai uses less energy to manufacture, fill, ship and store our products than any ready-to-drink beverage on the market. Hello, fuel efficiency!

We’re also proud to say our concentrates, powder mixes and tea bags have been designed to have very high product-to-package ratios. For example, if you buy a carton of concentrate—and here’s where we get technical—you take home 94% product and only 6% packaging.

Green… And sustainable… And organic…

Everything about our products has a sustainability bent. Most of our ingredients are natural and many come from farms and plantations where organic agriculturists foster the recycling of resources and are committed to promoting ecological balance. Many items are independently Certified Organic and sanctioned by the USDA.

Plus, each and every carton is made with responsibly sourced materials. No old-growth trees or rain forests around here! Our paper only comes from growing forests where the trees we use are replaced and biodiversity is maintained.

What’s more, all of our packaging is made with over 50% recycled materials to begin with.

And you can help us recycle.

Did you know Oregon Chai’s dry mix and tea bag cartons are recyclable in every state in the United States and our canister packaging is frequently recyclable as a metal? It’s true.

Additionally, our concentrate is packaged in compact, lightweight paper Tetra Paks, which are recyclable in 30 million households across 28 states, to date. You can find out if it’s recyclable in your community at www.recyclecartons.com.
